NCHIMA 2018 Annual Meeting

Documenting LGBT status is a national conversation and hot topic in healthcare today. Come hear Just Associates' Julie Dooling (MSHI, RHIA, CHDA, FAHIMA)  present "Caring for Our LGBT Patient Population: Changing Documentation and Workflows" which addresses how HIM and healthcare providers should work to create a healthcare environment that is non-judgmental and welcoming to patients of all backgrounds.  Attendees will hear why it is gaining importance and focus in the healthcare landscape, including federal regulations that are driving the change.
