The Children's Hospital - Denver, CO
The Children's Hospital provides complete pediatric care at its main campus and through a network that includes two emergency locations, three community based, after-hours care sites and nine specialty care centers throughout the Denver area. For more than a decade, U.S.News & World Report has recognized The Children's Hospital as one of the nation's top ten children's hospitals. The Children's Hospital ranked fourth in the magazine's "America's Best Children's Hospitals" issue published in August 2007.
Just Associates, Inc. completed several projects at this multi-facility Children's medical center, the most recent being testing and data integration consulting services surrounding implementation of Initiate with their Epic system. Children's had previously used Initiate's Aligndex product and converted from it to Initiate 7.0. JA assisted Children's in trouble-shooting several significant issues surrounding the data conversion and helped to improve the configuration of Initiate's algorithm for use in a pediatric facility.
EMPI Cleanup Services - JA staff identified possible duplicate records that were created during the EMPI conversion. Research for validity verification was completed in numerous systems including: Epic, Initiate, SoftMed, TPA and Physical Records.
HIM Departmental Operations Assessment - An overall operations assessment provided numerous recommendations for process improvements.
EMPI Management - JA developed and implemented a process for EMPI maintenance including managing duplicate records, training EMPI management staff, defining job descriptions and qualifications for EMPI management, assessing duplicate record creation patterns and causes, creating reporting mechanisms regarding patterns and causes of MPI data integrity issues.
