The Just Associates Team consists of professionals who possess strong project management skills, extensive MPI / EMPI database knowledge and Health Information Management (medical records) expertise. All of Just Associates' projects are managed by credentialed HIM professionals with several years of HIM department operational and management experience. We strongly believe that this background and experience helps us to better understand our clients' needs.



Beth Just, MBA, RHIA - President and CEO

Just Associates was founded by Beth Haenke Just, MBA, RHIA. Ms. Just has been a consultant in the HIM sector for over 20 years. She brings a unique blend of HIM experience and technical expertise in the area of database and software design and management. Ms. Just is well-known in the HIM technical arena as an authority on EMPI databases and as a healthcare software design expert. She frequently consults with both vendors and healthcare organizations regarding patient identification software and health information management systems. Her experiences include executive level positions in QuadraMed, Pyramid Health Group, New Era of Networks and Quality Visions, Inc. She is a regular industry voice to professional organizations like AHIMA where she has contributed to numerous workgroups and has authored numerous published articles. She has been appointed 2008 co-chair of AHIMA’s Health Information Exchange Practice council. Recognized as the Colorado Health Information Management Association’s “Distinguished Member”, Beth earned her Bachelor of Arts at College of Saint Scholastica and her Masters in Business Administration at the University of Colorado.

Craig Bernard - Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operations Officer

As Just Associates’ CFO, Craig directs the company's long-term financial and strategic plans as well as managing the day-to-day financial affairs. He also plays a leadership role in merger, acquisition and business development activities. In the Role of COO, he coordinates the efforts of the operations staff to ensure quality service is provided in a timely and cost efficient manner. Craig is a financial executive with 17 years experience in leadership and cross-functional project management with emphasis in Accounting, Finance, and IT. Craig brings a track record of consistently high performance in the Financial Services, Distribution, Printing and Real Estate industries. Craig provided thirteen years of services to United Parcel Service (UPS) in the areas of Accounting and Project management and was ultimately promoted to Assistant Controller. He was Senior Director of Corporate Finance for First Data Corporation where he provided financial analysis and recommendations to Executive Committee members. Craig earned his Bachelor of Science in Business at Emporia State with a double major in business administration and accounting, and his Masters in Business Administration at Baker University.

Jerry Just - Vice President of Marketing

Jerry is responsible for leadership and strategic direction around corporate branding, marketing and product management. Jerry has over 25 years of sales, sales management and marketing experience within the healthcare field. He has helped several venture capital backed startups in the medical device arena grow to the point of being acquired by companies such as Eli Lilly and Boston Scientific. He served as Regional Sales Manager for Interventional Technologies, Area Business Manager for Datascope and the VP of Sales and Marketing for Quality Visions. His experience spans the markets for both disposable and capital equipment as well as information technology software and consulting services. Jerry earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin and his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Jim Thompson - Vice President of Sales

As Just Associates’ VP of Sales, Jim is responsible for managing all sales activities and plays a leadership role in Business Development. Jim has twenty years of diversified experience in consultative sales, sales management, marketing and general management in technology-based industries, primarily in the healthcare industry. During that time he developed and executed sales and marketing strategies for QuadraMed Corporation’s entry into the physician and clinic market. He has also served as Vice President of Sales for WebMD (now Sage) and Regional Vice President of Sales for CenterBeam (EDS). Jim earned his Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
