At the heart of our services and solutions are industry recognized experts in the areas of health information management, patient data integrity, enterprise master person indexes and record matching algorithms. Beth founded Just Associates in 2002. Previously, she held executive level positions at QuadraMed, Pyramid Health Group, New Era of Networks and Quality Visions, Inc, and has spent over 30 years in the HIM sector. She brings a unique blend of HIM experience and technical expertise in the area of database and software design and management and is well known in the HIM technical arena.
Beth's strengths include project management, business development, health care business and operations management, product management and financial management. Her use of pragmatic business techniques, technology know how and strong knowledge of the health care industry bring a unique value and quick return on investment to the clients she serves. She has completed hundreds of consulting engagements including MPI clean ups, Patient Access assessments, MPI assessments, HIM operational reviews and EMPI needs assessments and RFP development as well as software development, testing and implementation projects for healthcare organizations, multi-facility IDNs and RHIOs. She has served in several officer, board and chair positions for the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and the Colorado Health Information Management Association (CHIMA) including contributing to the "HIM Principles in HIE" and "Patient Identity in RHOs" workgroups. She was appointed Co-Chair for AHIMA's Health Information Exchange Practice Council for 2008 and has served as president of the Colorado HIMA. Beth has also been a featured speaker at numerous State and National professional meetings including AHIMA, HIMSS and TEPR as well as software vendors' user group conferences (Cerner, Microsoft, IDX).
Beth has authored and has been quoted in articles published in The Journal of AHIMA, For the Record, Healthcare IT News and Modern Healthcare. She was the lead author on AHIMA's Practice Brief: HIM Principles in Health Information Exchange. Beth was recognized as the Colorado Health Information Management Association's "Distinguished Member. " She earned her Bachelor of Arts at College of Saint Scholastica and her Masters in Business Administration at the University of Colorado.
As Vice President of Data Integrity Services, Emilie oversees the day-to-day operations and staffing of Just Associates' Data Integrity and Master Person Index Services. Emilie has over 35 years of experience in healthcare management in a variety of healthcare settings. She has worked with clients assisting them to evaluate EMPI/MPI strategies and technology. She possesses strong project management skills and has successfully managed projects ranging from the selection and implementation of EMPI technology to MPI cleanup and MRN conversion projects. Emilie also possesses considerable experience in client management and has served in various roles for large IT vendors providing solutions to healthcare providers.
Emilie is a member of AHIMA, was president of the Delaware chapter of AHIMA from 1985 to 1986, and is currently President of the Maryland Health Information Management Association (June 2011- June 2012). She has also chaired numerous State committees. On a National level Emilie served as the Chairperson for the Council on Public Affairs and the Chair of the Ad-Hoc Task Force on the Prospective Payment System. She holds a B.S. in Health Information Management from York College of Pennsylvania.
As Vice President of Consulting Services, Karen oversees the day-to-day operations of Just Associates’ consulting services. She is also responsible for strategic development of new services and solutions that leverage the firm’s unique data integrity capabilities to serve evolving market needs. Karen has more than 30 years of experience in HIM, with a strong expertise in electronic health records, EMPI management, Epic implementation, medical record document management, legal/privacy issues and data governance.
Karen is a member of the American Health Information Management Association. At the state level, she served as a director for the Colorado Health Information Management Association in 2008 and was president of the Tennessee Health Information Management Association from 1997 – 1998. Karen is past president of the Upper East Tennessee Health Information Management Association and the Mid-East Tennessee Health Information Management Association. She also served as the education chair on medical records for INSIGHT, an HIS user group, from 1994-2000. Karen holds a B.S. in Medical Record Administration and a M.S. in Health Information/Informatics from the University of Tennessee.
With more than 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Monica has a distinct background that combines direct operational and consulting experience with IT data management, project management and HIM operations. During her career she has established a pattern of achieving significant operational efficiencies and fiscal savings through process automation that resulted in reduced staffing, decreased AR, and improved turnaround times.
Monica’s experience includes HIM management and consulting positions at St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster, Colo., Hemet Valley Medical Center in Hemet, Calif., Axolotl Corporation (now OptumInsight) and Precyse Solutions. An experienced system administrator and system analyst who has also managed multiple conversion processes, Monica has worked with QuadraMed, Epic, Cerner, MEDITECH, First Perspective, LanVision and SMS.
She holds a B.S. in Medical Record Administration from the University of Texas Medical Branch.
As a senior health information management professional, Ms. Bock's background demonstrates a diverse blend of skills and expertise. Her strengths include project management, process development and execution and health care operational management. Her dedication to delivering value to clients is the focus that provides exceptional results in a myriad of settings. Ms. Bock's experience includes management level positions in QuadraMed, and Pyramid Health Group, as well as management of health information management departments within the acute care setting. Her experience also includes software development for person management tools. She has worked with all of the leading patient identification and matching algorithms including Initiate (Madison/IBM), QuadraMed, Sun, EPIC and Cerner.
Linda has been active in both state and regional Health Information Management professional organizations, serving as the Secretary of the Northern Colorado Health Information Management Association, and has served on the board of directors and various committees for the Colorado Health Information Management Association. She has presented at various state professional organization conferences.
As Chief Privacy Officer/Consultant, Susan oversees all HIPAA related activities and monitors compliance with federal and state laws and with JA’s information privacy practices. She is also responsible for providing consulting services for EMPI, HIM Data Integrity and Security/Privacy projects. Susan has more than 25 years of diverse experience within hospital/healthcare settings and has held Privacy Officer Roles for other national organizations. She has worked extensively in operations leadership, project management, information technology, quality assurance and process improvement.
Susan is a nationally recognized speaker and currently serves on the AHIMA Privacy and Security Council and the AHIMA Health Story Project Executive Committee. Susan has written numerous articles for publications such as For the Record, Advance, Plexus and the Journal of AHIMA. Susan was named Top 10 in HIM for 2008 and again in 2010 by ADVANCE for Health Information Professionals. She also has served as the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI) National President and is currently on the AHDI Board of Directors. Susan is a graduate of St Petersburg College and the University of Cincinnati in HIM.
Cindy has over 20 years' experience in the healthcare field – 15 years specifically in HIM management positions from an urban, teaching facility to an acute-care, community hospital with responsibility overseeing all aspects of Health Information Management. Her recent experience has focused on MPI cleanup project management and Patient Identity consultation with Just Associates. She has served on the board of the Cuyahoga Community College Health Information Management program. She is currently a member of the MHIMA and AHIMA with prior membership in OHIMA.
As Director of Data Reconciliation Services, Tami is responsible for managing day-to-day program operations, ensuring Just Associates meets all service levels and exceeds quality expectations.
Prior to joining Just Associates, Montroy served as the coding and clinical data access manager of The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she managed operational data services including coding and abstracting, release of patient information and the master patient index (MPI). Previously, she was the hospital’s data quality, integrity and integration manager. Past positions include director of facility coding services for The Coding Source and HIM consultant for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Montroy also served as an adjunct professor for the medical coding and billing certificate program at Bucks County Community College in Newtown, Penn.
Montroy, who co-authored “Revenue Cycle Training Handbook: Sharing the Responsibility for Financial Success,” holds a bachelor’s degree in HIM from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in health informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
