PRMC was looking for assistance in converting from the use of a social security number as a primary patient identifier to a medical record number. PRMC was using McKesson STAR as its registration system and McKesson Horizon Patient Folders as its clinical information system.

| | Truman Medical Centers – Kansas City, MO | Truman Medical Centers (TMC) is a two-hospital, not-for-profit health system located in Kansas City, Missouri. TMC uses Cerner Millennium for a variety of clinical and ancillary applications including pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and ED. TMC previously had Cerner Classic and migrated to these Millennium applications.
TMC requested assistance in analyzing their data for possible duplicates, reviewing their Cerner Millennium ESI/EMPI configuration settings and evaluating the duplicate management process. The objective was to improve Millennium's ability to prevent data integrity errors, identify causes of person record data integrity errors in Millennium and assess the patient identity data capture process.

| Vanderbilt University Medical Center - Nashville, TN | Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is a 600 bed, comprehensive healthcare facility dedicated to patient care, research, and biomedical education. Its reputation for excellence in each of these areas has made Vanderbilt a major patient referral center for the Mid-South. The hospital is home to the region's only Level I Trauma Center as well as the region's only Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. VUMC uses McKesson Healthquest for inpatient registration, scheduling and ADT, and they use Epic for outpatient services. VUMC also uses an internally developed electronic health record for both inpatient and outpatient clinical information.
VUMC contracted with Just Associates to provide an in-depth review of the Patient Access Assessment Report performed by Vanderbilt. This project included review of patient access policies, procedures and performance and recommendations to mitigate duplicate record creation.
